Spotted this on a walk through Tottington Wood the other morning: A Penny Bun Boletus edulis, unless I'm very much mistaken.
- Reddish-brown cap
 - White flesh which is unchanging when cut or bruised
 - Whitish pore surface
 - Tubes come away easily from the flesh of the cap
 - Faint net pattern ('reticulum') on the stem
 
The rain had brought out a few different things, including this rather attractive grey mushroom sprouting from a decaying log.
It had the clean white gills of a Pluteus.
Tempting to call this one Willow Shield Pluteus salicinus.
